Marking the busiest weekend day ever, preliminary numbers were around 354,000 plus, BART officials said on Twitter this morning at 5:10 a.m.
Various Super Bowl 50 events happening throughout San Francisco and other Bay Area cities contributed to the spike in numbers.
The busiest weekend before that was in October 2012 when 319,000 people rode BART, BART officials said.
A final number will be released later today.
