The U.S. Coast Guard responded Friday morning to a fire on a container ship about 50 miles off the coast of Monterey.
The fire was reported on the NYK Delphinus, which was bound for the Port of Oakland.
The Coast Guard wrote on Twitter that Resolve Marine, a maritime emergency response company, is joining in the response to the fire.
More details about the blaze were not immediately available.
