Crews are at the scene of a garbage truck fire Friday morning on U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco near the Cesar Chavez Street offramp.
The fire, reported about 11:30 a.m. in northbound lanes of the freeway, fully engulfed the truck and prompted the California Highway patrol to issue a Sig Alert for traffic.

About 11:50 a.m., all northbound lanes were blocked, the CHP said.
No injuries have been reported, the San Francisco Fire Department said on social media.
