Teen passenger injured when fleeing vehicle crashes into business

A 15-year-old girl suffered injuries not considered life-threatening after the vehicle she was riding in crashed into a business in San Jose early Thursday morning, according to police.

The crash was reported at about 1:10 a.m., Officer Gina Tepoorten said. Not long before the crash, the vehicle — a 2008 light-colored Cadillac — failed to yield for a police traffic stop.

Tepoorten said the officer didn’t pursue the vehicle but stayed in the area of where it was last seen and came upon the crash scene in the 3800 block of Seven Trees Boulevard. The driver fled the scene.
