A man wearing a yellow neon construction jacket with orange stripes forced employees of a Petaluma hair salon at gunpoint to open a safe, then pepper-sprayed them and escaped with cash Tuesday night, police said.

The robbery happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Supercuts hair salon at 367 S. McDowell Blvd.
