East Bay Regional Park District parks and trails have reopened Thursday after being closed since Sunday because of public safety risks from windy weather and wildfires around the region.
The park district planned to reopen regional parks and trails at 5 a.m. Thursday or as otherwise posted at different locations.
Staff members will be continuing to assess damage from fallen trees or other vegetation and clean up debris, according to the park district.
Anyone who sees damaged trails or facilities or other non-emergency safety hazards on a park or trail in the EBRPD jurisdiction should call park operations at (510) 544-2510. To report more urgent safety hazards, people can call (510) 881-1121.
