Muir Fire reaches 10 percent containment, holds at 50 acres

The 50-acre Muir Fire burning between Stinson and Muir beaches in Marin County is 10 percent contained as of Thursday afternoon.

The fire reported around 10:45 a.m. near Slide Ranch was moving toward the ocean, according to the Marin County Fire Department.

No evacuation orders have been issued and state Highway 1 remains closed between the two beaches. Approximately 165 personnel have responded to the blaze.
