Thirty-acre vegetation fire jumps road in South San Jose

San Jose Fire Department, San Jose, Calif.

Firefighters are responding to a 30-acre vegetation fire in South San Jose first reported at 12:15 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Bailey Avenue.

According to Cal Fire officials, flames have reached both sides of Santa Teresa Boulevard and power lines have been knocked down.

Santa Teresa Boulevard is closed in both directions.
