The fire Sunday afternoon at John McLaren Park in San Francisco has now been contained. San Francisco Fire Department initially reported the blaze burned three acres of vegetation and later said the burn extended to four acres, but no structures were damaged.
No one was injured in the fire near the Gleneagles golf course, first reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
SFFD crews will remain on the scene to tend to hot spots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
