San Francisco police are seeking suspects in a shootout in the city’s Mission District on Monday afternoon.
The shooting occurred at about 2 p.m. in the area of 26th and Shotwell streets.
A vehicle stopped near a group of people and then pulled away. Someone in the group then started shooting at the vehicle, and a passenger in the car returned fire, police said.
Everyone involved in the shooting had fled by the time officers arrived to the area, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning. No injuries have been reported from the shootout, according to police. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
