Vallejo opens warming center Tuesday and Wednesday


The city of Vallejo and the First Baptist Church Vallejo will operate a warming shelter at the church 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

There will be 60 beds, a blanket and warm soup available at the church at 2025 Sonoma Blvd. All Vallejo residents and their pets also welcome.

The shelter opens during rain, extreme temperatures and wind. According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely in the North Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday.
