A driver hit and killed a pedestrian just south of South Fremont Boulevard at 3:36 a.m., according to the CHP. Officer Manuel Leal said the victim appears to be a man.
A Sig-Alert was issued for the crash and all lanes were closed as drivers were redirected off the highway for about 3 hours. The lanes reopened at 6:46 a.m. and there is some residual traffic.
