At 8:03 p.m., firefighters received a report of a drowning on Ridge Park Lane. When firefighters arrived, they said the girl was lying on the front lawn, as Concord police tried to resuscitate her, according to the fire department.
Emergency crews then transported the victim to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where she succumbed to her injuries, fire officials said.
