Raiders make big splash, trade for Palmer

Raiders fans woke up this morning to the news that they had a new quarterback.

Carson Palmer was acquired by the Raiders today for a 2012 1st round pick and a 2013 conditional pick.

With Jason Campbell breaking his collarbone this past Sunday against the Browns, that left  Kyle Boller and Terrelle Pryor as the only healthy quarterbacks on the roster, the Raiders are hoping Palmer can come in and pick up where Campbell left off. The Raiders (4-2) host the Chiefs this Sunday.

Palmer is reunited with Hue Jackson, who served as the receivers coach for the Bengals from 2004 to 2006 and was Palmer’s offensive coordinator at USC in 2000.
