San Francisco police are investigating a homicide in the Sunnydale neighborhood that took place Friday afternoon.

Authorities said officers responded to the 1900 block of Sunnydale Avenue at approximately 3:35 p.m. in regards to a shooting. Officers arrived at the scene and found a 43-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers provided aid to the victim and summoned medics to the scene. Despite efforts from medics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call the SFPD Tip Line at (415)-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with “SFPD.” Tipsters can remain anonymous.
