A 50-year-old man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded at 3:43 p.m. to a ShotSpotter gunshot detection system activation in the area of Third Street and Oakdale Avenue, and arrived to find spent shell casings, police said.
The 50-year-old victim was also found and treated at a hospital for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
No arrest has been made in the shooting and no suspect information was immediately available Tuesday morning. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.
