A 51-year-old Little League coach has been arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with a child in San Jose, police said.

Manuel Souza, a coach for the Santa Teresa Little League in San Jose, was arrested Friday after investigators learned he had allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with a child under 14 years old from March 2019 to last month, according to police.

San Jose Police Department Manuel Souza, 51, was arrested Friday, April 25, 2020 in part on suspicion of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old in his role as a Little League coach in San Jose, Calif.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and took Souza into custody at his home in San Jose on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts upon a child under 14, annoying or molesting a child under 18, and indecent exposure, police said.
