A motorcyclist who died following a crash Sunday night on a San Francisco highway has been identified as 19-year-old Caleb Poole, according to the city’s medical examiner’s office.
Around 9:40 p.m., Poole was riding on the connector from southbound U.S. Highway 101 to eastbound Interstate Highway 80 when his motorcycle went down, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Poole was ejected from the bike and landed on the highway. The motorcycle went off of the side of the elevated connector.
Poole, an Oakland resident, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to CHP officials.
Further information about the crash was not immediately available.
