Sheriff’s deputies found the victim of a fatal shooting lying in a driveway in the unincorporated El Sobrante area of Contra Costa County on Wednesday night.
They discovered the 22-year-old man while investigating a report of a shooting in the 4800 block of San Pablo Dam Road at 10:46 p.m. and requested assistance from medical personnel, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials said their detectives are interviewing several people about the killing. The victim’s name is not yet being released.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (925) 313-2600.
