The A’s will open the 2018 season against the Los Angeles Angels on March 29, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and won’t leave Oakland until April 5, after four-game sets with the Angels and Texas Rangers.
Commemorating the team’s 50th season in Oakland, the team will honor the 50 greatest A’s of all time prior to its first night game of the season.
In what the organization believes to be the first of its kind in MLB history, the A’s will host the Chicago White Sox on Tues., April 17 with all fans granted *free* admission. the first pitch of that game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Other notable dates include the Houston Astros first visit, May 7-9, the Seattle Mariners first visit, May 22-24, and the Bay Bridge Series, scheduled for July 20-22, the first series out of the All-Star break.
The three-game series, in the stead of back-to-back two-game home and home sets, is due to the AL West and NL West facing each other in interleague play.
The A’s have three 10-game homestands — May 22-31, June 7-17 and Aug. 30-Sept. 9 — and will play 17 of 27 games at the Oakland Coliseum in August. They finish the season Sept. 28-30 in Anaheim.
