A man and a woman were found dead inside a parked van in West Oakland Thursday morning, police said.
Officers who responded to a report of an unresponsive male inside a van found the man and woman unresponsive at about 6:19 a.m. inside a van parked in the 3400 block of Chestnut Street, police said. They were pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Police aren’t releasing the names of the victims at this time but said they’re both Oakland residents.
The Alameda County coroner’s bureau will determine their cause of death.
Oakland police said they are asking for the community and witnesses to contact them with any information they may have about the incident.
