Oakland police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 79-year-old man.
Welde Woretu, who is considered at risk due to his age, was last seen Monday around 7 p.m. in the 6000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
Police describe Woretu as a 5-foot-6-inch Black man, weighing 120 pounds with a bald head and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and tan pants.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to notify the Oakland Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (510) 238-3641.
