An Oakland resident was arrested on suspicion of driving the vehicle that struck and killed a person in a hit-and-run Monday morning in Oakland, police said.
The collision occurred at 8:26 a.m. in the 2300 block of Miller Avenue.
Officers responded and located the victim suffering from traumatic injuries, according to police. Officers provided medical care until paramedics arrived. The victim died where she was hit, police said.
The suspect was arrested after officers located his vehicle at about 9:30 a.m., according to police.
