The Richmond Fire Department said around 2 p.m. via Twitter that crews contained a 2-acre grass fire at Rydin Road and Central Avenue, near Costco.
El Cerrito firefighters were also on the scene. Fire officials said smoke would likely continue until around 4 p.m. Central Avenue is closed at the intersection and people should avoid the area while first responders are still on the scene.
