Hit-and-run driver critically injures man on scooter

San Francisco police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that caused life-threatening injuries to a man on a scooter in the city’s Bernal Heights neighborhood late Wednesday night.

The collision was reported at 11:09 p.m. in the area of Mission Street and St. Mary’s Avenue.

The suspect and vehicle, which police only described as a sedan, fled the scene and remain at large Thursday.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
