A collision involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate Highway 280 late Saturday night shut down all northbound lanes for about an hour in San Francisco.
The California Highway Patrol responded to an 11:31 p.m. report of the collision on the highway near the off-ramp for Ocean and Geneva avenues.
Officers responding initially found two vehicles that had collided head on and that the occupants of both vehicles were alert. No further information was provided on their condition.
The CHP also located other vehicles that had collided during the incident.
The CHP reported at 12:44 a.m. Sunday that all northbound lanes of Interstate 280 had been reopened.
Also responding were crews from San Francisco Fire Department.
