Police reopen road after overnight pedestrian death investigation

San Jose police reopened the roadway in the area of Curtner Way and Monterey Road early Wednesday morning, following an investigation of a collision that resulted in the death of an adult male pedestrian late Tuesday night.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle shortly before officers were called to the scene at 11:24 p.m. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.

No additional details about the collision were provided in the 5:22 a.m. tweet Wednesday from the San Jose Police Department.
