Overturned gravel truck causes Mission Boulevard lane closures

Several lanes of northbound and southbound Mission Boulevard in the Mission San Jose District of Fremont are closed due to an overturned gravel truck near Interstate 680, according to the Fremont Police Department late Friday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said the cleanup will likely take the next several hours, as of 5 p.m.

The crash is near the northbound onramp to Interstate 680 at what is commonly referred to as the north Mission Boulevard interchange with the freeway, on the western side of the Sunol Grade.

There are no reports of injuries.
