The Napa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting police activity Tuesday morning at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville.

According to a California Highway Patrol statement, the agency received a report of a woman with what was described as a shotgun at the facility, but there have been no reports of shots fired.

The Sheriff’s Office issued an alert at about 8:20 a.m. asking people to avoid the area of the facility at 6550 Yount St.

More details about the law enforcement response were not immediately available.
