Drive-by shooting injures man sitting in parked car Sunday

A 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Glen Park neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting was reported at 4:40 p.m. in the area of Chenery Street and Brompton Avenue.

The victim was sitting in a car when someone shot at him multiple times and then drove away. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not life-threatening, police said.

No arrest has been made in connection with the shooting and no suspect information was immediately available. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
