The Glass Fire burning near St. Helena in Napa County has grown to at least 1,200 acres with zero containment in the course of about seven hours Sunday, according to a Cal Fire update provided just before 1 p.m.
Cal Fire has issued evacuation orders for the following areas:
Cal Fire alerted the public to the fire, then 20 acres, at North Fork Crystal Springs Road and Crystal Springs Road just before 5 a.m. Sunday. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The Crosswalk Community Church in Napa at 2590 First Street is operating as an evacuation center. Residents are reminded that they must adhere to Covid-19 health measures while at the center, including use of face coverings, good hygiene and physical distancing.
Crews from several local fire departments have been deployed to provide assistance.
