Coroner identifies 41-year-old Pittsburg woman as big-rig crash victim

A woman who died in a crash involving a big-rig on eastbound state Highway 4 in Concord on Friday morning has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as 41-year-old Pittsburg resident Jennifer Jackson.

Jackson was driving a Honda Accord that struck the rear of the tractor-trailer at about 6:30 a.m. just east of Willow Pass Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Emergency crews responded and pronounced her dead at the scene. The big-rig driver was not injured in the collision.

Impairment is not considered a factor in the collision, which remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the CHP’s Contra Costa-area office at (925) 646-4980.
