A San Francisco Muni bus struck a person Wednesday around 8:54 a.m. in the area of Eighth and Mission streets, police said.
Officer Adam Lobsinger said the person struck by the bus is a male in his 30s and was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition was reported life-threatening as of Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators on the scene believe the pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of collision, Lobsinger said.
Erica Kato, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, said it was a 14-Mission bus that struck the pedestrian.
The investigation into the Muni-involved pedestrian collision is ongoing, Lobsinger said.
Another pedestrian was struck by a Muni bus on July 1. In that incident, police said the 36-year-old pedestrian ran out in front of the oncoming bus on the 800 block of Market Street.
