Fog brings heat relief to Bay Area coasts

Fog is rolling in to the San Francisco Bay Area Thursday to cool off the coastal region following several days of soaring temperatures but inland areas will remain hot, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect mostly cloud skies along the coast in the morning with highs in the mid 50s to lower 70s and west winds 10 to 20 mph.

The North Bay will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70s to lower 90s, with Santa Rosa reaching 89 and Napa hitting 86. Temperatures will be warmer in the East Bay, with a high of 93 in Concord and 92 in Livermore, dipping to the high 50s in the evening.

Friday will be cloudy and breezy with a chance of showers.
