BART 12th Street station reopens after earlier equipment problem

The 12th Street Oakland City Center BART station is now open and trains are making normal stops after an earlier “equipment problem” prompted the station’s closure Thursday morning, the transit agency said.

BART officials sent an advisory out shortly before 10:30 a.m. about the problem but did not specify what prompted the closure.
