East Oakland shooting victim in stable condition

A man is in stable condition at a hospital after he was shot in East Oakland on Sunday evening, police said.

The shooting was reported in the 1000 block of 70th Avenue, several blocks from the Oakland Coliseum, at about 7:50 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

Officers who responded to the scene found a man suffering from a gunshot wound and he was transported to the hospital.
