Woman with serious injuries runs for help after domestic violence attack

A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries and a man was arrested early Saturday morning in what police say was during a domestic violence incident.

The 34-year-old victim was attacked in the 3300 block of Powell Street and ran to 2 Anchor Drive, where she was able to get help from a resident who contacted police about 12:40 a.m., officials said.

The woman had lacerations and was bleeding police said.

Officers went to the scene of the attack and later arrested a 31-year-old man who was booked on domestic violence charges.
