One dies in four-vehicle Fairfield highway collision

One person died in a traffic crash Wednesday evening on northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Fairfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at about 6:30 p.m. at the Gold Hill Road off-ramp and involved four vehicles.

Traffic on Highway 680 is unaffected, CHP officials said.
