Train stuck at Martinez station after vehicle crossing incident

A Capitol Corridor train was involved in a vehicle crossing incident in Solano County Thursday morning, an Amtrak spokeswoman Olivia said.

There were 56 passengers on train No. 527, which was traveling from Sacramento to San Jose, when the incident occurred around 8:10 a.m., Amtrak spokeswoman Olivia Irvin said.

Train No. 524 is stopped at the Martinez station waiting for tracks to be cleared.

The incident happened between the Martinez and Suisun City-Fairfield stations, according to Amtrak.

Trains were still being delayed in the area as of shortly after 10 a.m., Capitol Corridor wrote on Twitter.
