BART on Saturday and Sunday will be shutting down train service between the Walnut Creek and Orinda BART stations for major track work, BART officials said.
Passengers will be able to take free buses between the stations and should expect delays of about 40 minutes or longer.
BART is also reporting two eastbound lanes of state Highway 24 will be closed Saturday at Oak Hill Road until 5 p.m. for track work due to an expected PG&E power shutoff.
