A suspicious device found in a shopping center in San Ramon on Tuesday morning has been deemed safe by bomb squad technicians, according to police.
San Ramon police received a call at 8 a.m. about a suspicious device in the area of 3110 Crow Canyon Place. Officers arrived at 8:04 a.m. and evacuated people from the area, according to San Ramon police Capt. Denton Carlson.
Police said on social media the device was described to them as a “pressure cooker with exposed wires.”
The Walnut Creek police bomb squad was called to the scene to assess the device, according to a 10 a.m. Twitter post from San Ramon police. The bomb squad deployed a robot, and the San Ramon police drone team provided overhead assistance before the device was determined to be safe, according to San Ramon police.
