Suisun City railroad fire prompts advisory to close windows, shut off air

Firefighters are battling a fire that started shortly before 7 p.m. Monday in a stack of railroad ties are on fire in the Old Town area of Suisun City, according to the Suisun City Police Department. The department said via its Twitter account that no evacuations are needed and there is currently no danger to Old Town and no threat of fire spreading to residences.

Police advise residents in the area to turn off air conditioning and close windows.
