Police believe body found on I-80 may be missing man

A man who was reported missing to Vacaville police may be a motorcycle rider who was found dead Wednesday on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield, the California Highway Patrol said.

Vacaville police pinged the missing man’s cellphone Wednesday and it identified a location on westbound Highway 80 near Manuel Campos Parkway. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was found near the body, CHP Officer Miguel Camarena said.

The Solano County coroner’s office said it could not release the man’s identity as of Thursday morning.
