A 20-year-old San Francisco resident was taken into custody and charged in connection with a hit-and-run collision back in 2017.
Eleasia Fraise was taken into custody July 16 by the U.S. Marshals Service in Stockton on a warrant for a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in the early morning of Sept. 22, 2017 at Toland and Jerrold streets.
The warrant also charges for gross vehicular manslaughter, arson, conspiracy and driving without a valid license.
Fraise was booked in San Joaquin County and is pending transfer to the San Francisco County Jail, according to police.
The pedestrian killed in the crash was the well-known owner of Gus’s Community Markets, Konstantinos “Gus” Vardakastanis.
