Police are responding to an active shooter at a shopping mall in the Tanforan area outside the BART San Bruno station.
According to a San Bruno police Twitter post, officers were on scene at 1150 El Camino Real shortly around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. As a precaution, BART has closed the nearby station and trains are not stopping until further notice.
The situation is in progress and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
