Second Fairfield fire burns 25 acres at half containment


Another brush fire has started Friday in Fairfield, Cal Fire officials said.

As of 4:09 p.m., the Nelson Fire had burned 25 acres off Cordelia and Link roads and was 50 percent contained.

Earlier in the day, a fire east of the Nelson Fire burned an estimated 24 acres, Fairfield police said. No one was injured and no structures were damaged.
