Man dies from gunshot wound in East Oakland

A man was fatally shot in East Oakland on Monday morning, police said.

Officers who responded to the 3200 block of Davis Street shortly before 7:30 a.m. Monday after Oakland firefighters reported that there was a victim there found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police aren’t releasing any other details about the fatal shooting as of early Monday afternoon.
