Officers responded at 12:27 p.m. to a report of a suicide at a home in the 5300 block of Dent Avenue and found a woman and two children dead there.
Police said they have determined that the woman killed her 4-year-old and 7-year-old sons before killing herself.
The deaths of the boys are the eighth and ninth homicides in San Jose this year, police said.
