Authorities identify 18-year-old man as Bay Point homicide victim


A man fatally shot in Bay Point last Friday was identified Tuesday by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office as 18-year-old Andre Piazza. Deputies had responded at 8:48 p.m. Friday to the first block of Lancaster Circle and found Piazza, a Bay Point resident, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s investigators have not announced any arrests or suspect information in the case.
