Wet weather causes major BART delays

BART is reporting major delays Thursday morning in both the San Francisco International Airport and Antioch directions because of an equipment problem on the tracks and the wet weather in the Bay Area.

The transit agency issued an advisory shortly after 7:45 a.m. about the delays.

BART had reported major delays earlier because of switching issues on the track in the downtown Oakland area. Those delays were initially reported at 4:39 a.m.
